Pet Ultrasound

A non-invasive way to diagnose sick & injured pets.

At Creekside Animal Hospital, we believe every pet deserves the best care possible — and that means understanding what’s happening beneath the surface. Our veterinary ultrasound services allow us to safely and comfortably look inside your pet’s body to get a clear picture of their health, all without surgery or pain.

What is an ultrasound?

An ultrasound is a simple, non-invasive way for us to see your pet’s internal organs in real time. It uses sound waves (not radiation) to create moving images of your pet’s heart, liver, bladder, and more. Most pets rest calmly on a padded table while our team gently moves a small probe over their abdomen or chest.

Why Your Pet Might Need an Ultrasound?

We may recommend an ultrasound if your cat or dog is showing signs like vomiting, weight loss, or changes in appetite — or if other tests, like bloodwork or X-rays, suggest we need a closer look.

Ultrasounds help us evaluate:

  • The liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder, and intestines
  • Heart health and function (echocardiograms)
  • Masses or tumors
  • Pregnancy and fetal development
  • Fluid buildup or inflammation in the abdomen or chest
  • Ultrasound also allows us to safely collect biopsy and fluid samples without having to perform invasive surgeries.

At Creekside, we combine advanced diagnostic tools with a personal touch. We know that your pets are part of your family — and they’re part of ours too. Whether we’re checking your dog’s heart or your cat’s tummy, we’ll treat them with gentle hands and loving care every step of the way.

If your pet is showing signs of illness or injury, call us at (281) 351-8387 to schedule an appointment. An ultrasound may be able to assist in diagnosing the problem.
