Karen Wilson, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Wilson is a native Texan. She was born in Grand Prairie and grew up in Amarillo. She and her husband have three college-aged children. Her family has lived in many places due to her husband’s military service and work. She has recently moved to Spring, Texas from Atlanta, GA, and is happy to be back "home" in Texas.
Dr. Wilson attended the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in College Station, Texas, and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with cum laude honors in 1998. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1994 and Veterinary Science in 1995 from Texas A&M University. Dr. Wilson has a special interest in urgent care and chronic disease management.
While studying Biomedical Science, she worked as a surgical technician at the Texas A &M College of Veterinary Medicine- Small Animal Clinic. It was that experience, her natural caregiving instincts, and her love of animals that led her to pursue veterinary medicine. She continues to enjoy practicing veterinary medicine and loves her patients and the people who love them.
When she is not caring for her patients, she is dedicated to serving our community and her church. Most recently she has been making food bags for the homeless shelter, donating food items to support local food banks, and is on a team that provides school supplies and backpacks to local school children.
